Glass Bottle Range
Glass is 100% recyclable and can be recycled endlessly without loss in quality or purity. As a result, an estimated 80% of recovered glass containers are made into new glass bottles. Glass is nonporous and impermeable. Since glass has an almost zero rate of chemical interactions, the products inside a glass bottle keep their strength, aroma, and flavour. Unsurprisingly, many consumers seek out glass containers in food packaging. Our range for spices includes 50ml (1.6oz) and 100ml (3.4oz) glass jars.

When considering glass, it is sometimes difficult to navigate between consumer preferences, transport concerns (risk of breakages, costs and carbon footprint of heavier material) and operational efficiencies on a spice filling line. Even when filling is done by hand, the consequences of a single glass breakage in a food facility are costly and time-consuming.
The ultimate goal is to present the end user with a product they can trust and will be comfortable purchasing and using time after time. Although all herbs and spices lose aroma over time, they do have a long shelf life when bottled in glass. Many consumers enjoy the sturdiness of a glass jar in hand while they grind or sprinkle flavouring in the kitchen or at the table.
As a container of choice for pharmaceutical liquids, there is no doubt that consumers trust glass as a material fit for food packaging. It ticks all the boxes with regards to the Reduce, Re-use, Recycle principles foremost on many people’s minds. Glass manufacturers are also embracing the Re-design concept, with projects such as light-weighting of products and shifting to new energy sources to power their furnaces. The high recycling rates of glass in most countries add to its sustainability score.
